This one-day course will introduce you to winter pruning, from mature trees that need restoring to newly planted trees that need to be formed. The day will cover basic techniques and methods, examine different species, why pruning is important, what equipment to use, and when. The afternoon will consist of a pruning demonstration and practical workshop. Please wear outdoor clothing and suitable protective footwear.
