Saturday 14 October 2023, 10:00–17:00 (last entry 16:00)
Harcourt Arboretum
Enjoy tours and talks, live music, local food and drink, and explore 130 acres of woodland featuring some of the world’s rare and endangered trees. The spectacular autumn colour will make the acer glade glow with a huge variety ofmushrooms to see under the trees. There will be hands-on activities for all the family, including weaving with natural materials and mushroom-themed crafts as well as family-friendly guided tours showing what fungi do in the woods. For older children, our ‘Exploring Autumn Pigments’ workshop will guide you through creating your very own chromatograms using Acer leaves. Find out more about our Harcourt Honey from our apiarist and taste Oxford Physic Gin.
Car parking spaces are limited and must be pre-booked, so this year the Arboretum has partnered with Oxford Bus Company to provide a free* shuttle bus from Redbridge Park and Ride. The first bus will depart at 09:40 with the last bus returning from the Arboretum at 17:00. Look out for our bus stop at Redbridge.
