Event description
Acidic grasslands like this – filled with billowing grasses, colourful wildflowers and the hum of insects – were once common in Oxfordshire. This habitat is bursting with life, but sadly over 95% of UK wildflower meadows have been lost over the last 70 years. During this course, you will learn how to use botanical keys to identify some of the common plant families within this rare and special habitat. Learn how to recognize key features, utilize field guides, and grasp some basic botanical terminology. This lively, hands-on workshop offers complete beginners a relaxed introduction to plant identification.
