Tales from the woods: an ethnobotany of trees

Event description 

Visitors can discover many different species of trees from around the world growing alongside tranquil British woodland at Harcourt Arboretum. There will be an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Sarah’s book ‘The Ethnobotanical: A world tour of Indigenous plant knowledge’ at the end of the tour.  Sarah is a professional ethnobotanist and the University of Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum’s Plant Records Officer. Ethnobotany studies the interrelationships between people and plants as mediated through culture.
