Find out about the traditional management approach of coppicing under the expert guidance of our arborists. Learn to manage your own sustainable timber supply using this ancient system. Coppicing allows more light and warmth to reach the woodland floor, creating ideal conditions for woodland flora. It results in a mosaic of differently aged woodland that can provide a wider range of habitats for a wider range of insect, bird and mammal species. This is an excellent opportunity to get advice and inspiration in our beautiful coppice woodland, which feels a world away from the city of Oxford. Please bring a packed lunch.
