Wildflower meadows are vital for sustaining populations of native UK wildflowers, some of which are now vulnerable or threatened. Learn how to collect, process and germinate seeds of some special, rare native flora with our Senior Propagator, Lewis Barrett. Explore the Arboretum collecting seeds from our wildflower meadow, before enjoying an interactive demonstration of the post-harvesting handling of different species. Learn about the importance of yellow rattle, which reduces the dominance of grasses, allowing other wildflowers to prosper.
