A five-acre garden descending from the abbey ruins into a wooded valley with stream and ponds. The top two acres are relatively flat, formally laid out with raised beds, pergola and topiary. The lower part has a good variety of trees with underplanting, bamboo grove, a footbridge and viewing mound. The sound of water is everywhere.
Although not a ‘private’ visit, it includes a guided tour by one of the owners and refreshments at the Coy Carp Café.
